Snoqualmie Pass at a Glance
Snoqualmie Pass is a small region packed with natural landmarks and recreational
opportunities galore. Lying east of Seattle,
the Pass follows the major east-west highway, the I-90, through the Cascade Mountains.
The 270-foot waterfall at Snoqualmie
Falls is a stunning area attraction and can be viewed from the observation
deck looking down, as well as from the base looking up. Thanks to on-site accommodation,
visitors to the falls can enjoy a day or multi-day adventure. For avid skiers,
the Summit
at Snoqualmie ski hill is a 45-minute drive from metro Seattle and offers
a variety of services and lodgings. Summer at Snoqualmie is a great time for trail
riding, hunting and fishing, and some local hiking trails provide access to the
international Pacific
Crest Trail. History buffs appreciate the numerous museums located in this
region, including the Northwest
Railway Museum.
